Hailing from the nation’s capital, Double Experience is a four pieced rock group consisting of Ian Nichols (Vocals), Brock Tinsley (Guitar), Kenny Saunders (Drums), and Tim Kealey (Bass). They will be releasing their second release, and first LP, on August 1, 2014 entitled “721835.” The release consists of nine original tracks, including the singles “Here’s Y” and “Who The Hell?”

When reading that the influences of Double Experience included comic books and video games, I was immediately intrigued. After listening to “721835,” I was not disappointed. The songs are enjoyable to listen to and well written. There is some similarity in sound to Fall Out Boy. My favourite tracks on the album are “Congratulations on Second Place,” “Here’s Y,” and “Strange Acquaintance.”

I recommend checking out “721835” if you enjoy rock music, Fall Out Boy, or simply love the combination of music and gaming/comic books/trading cards/etc. To get a taste of the album prior, check out “Here’s Y” and “Strange Acquaintance”. The latter having a lyric video with the original Super Mario Bros mixed with the track.

Rating – 4/5
